- VHA Home HealthCare Earns Fourth Accreditation
TORONTO, December 21, 2009—VHA is pleased to announce that it has once again earned full accreditation status from Accreditation Canada. The surveyors were on site to assess how well VHA meets national standards of excellence in quality and safety of home care services, organizational leadership, governance, and worklife. VHA proudly met 100 per cent of the more than 400 standards and required organizational practices, passing with flying colours.
“This accreditation is really a testament to the effort everyone at VHA makes every day. It validates our continual hard work and commitment to providing client-centred care,” notes Carol Annett, President and CEO of VHA. (More)
- VHA HOME HEALTHCARE TO INTEGRATE COTA HEALTH’S REHABILITATION SERVICES
The Board of Directors of COTA Health and VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) are very pleased to announce they have signed an agreement to integrate COTA Health’s Rehabilitation Services division with VHA as of July 3, 2009. The new division will be called VHA Rehab Solutions and include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work, speech-language pathology and dietetic services. Barbara Cawley, Vice President of Rehabilitation Services, will become the Executive Director of VHA Rehab Solutions. This integration will strengthen VHA’s ability to provide a full range of health care and home support services to their clients. (More)
