Celebrate Black History Month with VHA
Every year, Canadians are invited to take part in the festivities and events that honour the legacy of Black Canadians, past and present, during Black History Month.
This is a time to celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians who, throughout history, have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate, and prosperous nation we know today. It is also an opportunity for the majority of Canadians to learn about the experiences of Black Canadians in our society, and the vital role these communities have played throughout our shared history.
This February, we encourage you to take some time to participate in Black History Month. To help you get involved, we’re bringing you a great lineup of activities, events and history teachings so you can celebrate with your VHA community.
Every Tuesday and Thursday during February, we’ll be hosting virtual events throughout the month with a mix of speakers, artists, musicians and educators to bring their knowledge to all of us at VHA with engaging and impactful presentations. There’s a great lineup so remember to register for one (or more!) of these sessions. They are free for you to attend and open to anyone else in your community who might like to join us.
