For over a century, VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) has been at the heart of our communities—offering care, compassion, and unwavering support to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

From our beginnings in 1925 with just 14 homemakers supporting new mothers to a team of over 3,000 today, our journey has been shaped by visionary leaders, dedicated staff, and compassionate caregivers—each leaving an indelible mark on the people we serve.

Today VHA is known for its:

• collaboration with clients and health sector partners and its commitment to integrated care

VHA wouldn’t be where we are without our community of staff, service providers, sector partners, clients, families and caregivers. Throughout 2025 as we recognize our 100th anniversary, we aim to honour VHA’s legacy, celebrate the support we have been able to provide to clients, families and Ontario’s health care system and look towards the future.
