Our Research
VHA Home HealthCare is dedicated to supporting research and innovation that advances human welfare, creates new knowledge, develops our understanding and informs best practices in home and community care.
Our research focuses on key areas of home and community care that create possibilities for more independence, support clients to live at home, promote safe and rewarding working conditions for home care providers, and build toward fully integrated care across sectors. We strive to break new ground in research and development of integrated solutions that reflect the voices of our clients, caregivers and providers.
The VHA Research Vision 2025 supports VHA’s 2025 Strategic Plan: Care to Transform (Download PDF) by focusing our research in three priority areas: Better Care, Safer Teams and More Connected.
Better Care
Our research on how to provide Better Care is driven by the questions and needs of our clinical teams and client & caregiver partners.
Safer Teams
We are prioritizing research to improve workplace health and safety throughout the home care sector, and specifically at VHA.
More Connected
We are prioritizing research on integrated care to inform and evaluate ongoing efforts to increase integration in the health care system.
