Travis van Belle is a Research Associate with VHA Home HealthCare.

Prior to joining VHA, he completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Using large administrative and survey-collected data, he identifies opportunities to promote home care providers’ health and wellbeing. Recent work has explored factors influencing adherence to facial protective equipment use among home care providers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Concurrently, Travis is a PhD student at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health. His research focuses on improving home care personal support workers’ mental health and wellbeing.
