Purchased Services at VHA Home HealthCare

Purchased Services at VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) is a private-for-community department were every dollar we make goes back to fund community healthcare initiatives. Whether it is a little extra support or around-the-clock care, VHA’s Purchased Services offers a range of support at home, in a long-term care facility or during a hospital stay.

Clients who are already receiving care from VHA may also purchase additional hours through our Purchased Services. These purchased service hours are paid for by clients (and are not covered by Ontario Health atHome) but can be used as a supplementary "top up" of their regular ongoing care.

What health care services does VHA offer for purchase? Our purchased services include foot care services, nursing and rehabilitation services, palliative care services, as well as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, escorting to appointments and grocery shopping.

Our Enterprise Health Solutions team will work with you (and/or your caregiver) to create a care plan that works best for you and may suggest purchased services to consider.
